Sunday, October 6, 2024 - check in starts at 8am and the ride kicks off at 10am, starting at 161st St and Grand Concourse and ending at the New York Botanical Garden. The 40 mile starts at 10am, 25 mile at 10:15am and 10 mile at 10:30am.

In partnership with the Office of Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, we are happy to host the largest FREE cycling event in New York State!  Tour de Bronx will attract over 4000 riders from across the city and beyond. Tour de Bronx will now include a 10-mile family friendly route, a 25-mile route, and we are bringing back the epic 40 mile route!  All routes will start at  161st Street and Grand Concourse and culminate at the breathtaking New York Botanical Gardens. Our registered riders will pass through the South Bronx, Wakefield, Riverdale, Orchard Beach, waterfront parks and much more!

FAQ

Are the roads on the route closed?

The current plan is an open-ride with the streets open to vehicular traffic. Rider safety is paramount so the route has been developed to keep riders away from major roads and intersections. All riders are expected to obey traffic rules, be aware of their surroundings and use caution on the roads.

When will the routes be released?

All TdBx 2024 routes will be released the morning of the tour, approximately 6am.

Can I rent a bike for this event?

Are there police on the route?

NYPD will be stationed at key intersections along the routes to assist with traffic. All riders are expected to obey traffic rules, be aware of their surroundings and use caution on the roads.

Does this tour start in waves?

Yes, it does. All riders will depart from the launch site at 161st Street and Grand Concourse. The 40-mile riders will start first. Approximately 15 minutes later, the 25-milers will launch, followed by the 10-milers last.

Is there parking at the launch or end of the Tour?

Unfortunately, there is no parking available for riders at either the launch location or at the end of the tour. Street parking may be available and limited.

Are you assigned a number?

All registered riders will receive a numbered bib upon check -in.

Can I check-in early and pick up my bib before Sunday?

Yes. Early check-in will be Thurs Oct 3rd from 4p - 7p and Sat Oct 5th from 8a - 12p. Riders can pick up bibs and wristbands during these times at The Andrew Freedman Home - 1125 Grand Concourse, Bronx.

Will there be rest stops / water stops?

Yes, there will be rest stops along each route with water, snacks, access to restrooms, first aid support and limited bike repair services.
