Francesco Bastone and his younger brother Giovanni mved to America from Calabria with the dream of opening an Italian resturant serving family-style food as they enjoyed back home. In 1969, they opend a restuarnt in the Bronx called "The Pine" and it became a landmark restaurant known for Francesco's cooking.

Enjoy first-class culinary creations amid one of the Garden’s arboreal wonders: a world-renowned collection of rare and unusual pines from Asia, Europe, and North America that features century-old specimens nearly 100 feet tall.
