The Woodlawn Cemetery, founded in 1863, is a National Historic Landmark site spanning 400 acres. Its monuments represents some of the best examples of memorial art and architecture in the nation; its collection of trees encourages birds and other fauna to make their home among the cemetery grounds. Walking tours, musical and theatrical performances, and other events are curated year-round by the Woodlawn Conservancy to celebrate this Bronx landmark.
