Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. is part of Lehman College and was founded in 1980 in the Bronx, with a mission of providing the residents of the Bronx and surrounding communities with access to affordable, culturally diverse music, dance and theatrical performances that entertain, educate, and inspire.

The Center has also hosted the greatest names in Latin music, including Celia Cruz, Julio Iglesias, El Gran Combo, Rubén Blades, Gilberto Santa Rosa including the cultural traditions of Mexico, Africa, Cuba, China, Spain, Hungary, Russia, Israel, Puerto Rico, the US, and more. The events range from Salsa to Symphony, Ballet to  Bollywood  and classical music just to name a few.
